Urban Angler Arlington presents Patagonia & Abel Products Preview Day

On Thursday, March 19th, Urban Angler, in association with product rep Ken Lagerveld, held a Patagonia & Abel Products preview day at the shop.  It was well attended, the spirits and food flowed freely, and a good time was had by all.  For those that hung around until the last minute when door prizes were being drawn, there was almost no one that left without an item in-hand and a smile on their faces. 

Many thanks to all who attended, to Patagonia and Abel for providing door prizes and swag, and to Ken Lagerveld for making the drive down from New Jersey to spend an evening with our staff and customers.

  Interestingly, aside from the laughs, fish tales, and generally good-natured ribbing, we found there were certain people that displayed that enthusiasm that we love associating ourselves with.

Enter Pete White.  Pete actually had surgery to reattach his achille's tendon 6 days before the event, and showed up to pick up some gear for his trip to Mexico with his group of friends and associates.

Hobbled by cast and crutches, Pete was accompanied by friend Michael Brittin to pick out an ideal outfit for their yearly excursion.  After going thru the run of appropriate rods, reels, and lines, Pete bared the elements, and while balancing on one crutch, was able to demo his rod of choice.

That's true dedication to something we're all passionate and enthusiastic about.  And it's a good thing spring is here, because we're all chomping at the bit.
